This is strangely peculiar, trivial, and illogical (seeing as there are a few variations of this when thought out), but darkness. This really is quite odd.
Air?
There’s no air in space.
Death?
Possibly. I can’t focus now; no point in trying.
Will you play that soft melody?
“Chaconne", Partita, Johann Sebastian Bach?
Ah, yes. Right. Sure.
I played repeatedly for the clown case?
That’s it. Thank you.
Isn’t that where we are present in Hogwarts?
It appears so, but it’s also unimportant. Trivial, minor, insignificant..
As I’ve mentioned in a few prior asks, no, not really. They’re too tedious and take away the ability for so many things.
I think having children would be nice.
Well I don’t.
You’ve stated that clearly, now, Sherlock. May I ask you something?
What is it?
How come I found you under the table after I arrived home from work?
Expiriment.
Of what, exactly?
Dirt particles and the likings; there was nothing else to do so I tracked where they came from.
Do you have to go out for the case later?
Finished it, but yes, we can go out to dinner if you’d like.
I never said anything about dinner..
But you were, weren’t you?
Don’t be snotty about it.
I was right no matter.
Particularly comfier than most of my clothes. They’re very..hm..soft.
Sherlock looked very odd in his coat and scarf with a striped jumper on underneath. Maybe he’ll learn to be more careful with his experiments next time.
I doubt it; the testing was necessary.
Nevertheless, you looked nice cute today.
Thank you. I will punch you if you call me cute once more.
Be my guest. Our fights never end unhappily, though.
You frustrate me.
I try.
A case dragging along longer than necessary is a blessing, it shows the slight intelligence of the ‘attacker’, but yes, I do get stressed on some accounts. John is always there to help, though.
I’m only stressed when he’s A) doing things out of the ordinary, B) poking fun at Scotland Yard and it’s employees, or C) putting himself (or I, frankly) in harm.
If a case is longer than usual and I have work he’ll finish it alone or I’ll take the day off reluctantly. Cases are good, no matter the length. As long as they intrest him I am assured he has distractions.
I haven’t put you in much danger lately, have I?
No, you’re slacking off. Best be adding a bit into our lives once again.
Oh. I’ll start now.
Sherlock, it was a joke! No need to point my gun at me!
But you requested danger.
Sarcastically!
Can’t you see that I’m doing the same? I’d never put you in harm. The chamber is empty.
…Still. Thank you for putting it down.
Did you really think I would hurt you?
You’ve been acting rather strange these past days.
I haven’t had a case, seems reasonable.
Either way, I’m hiding the gun again.
Fine. I’ll make our meal.
Really?
After your fit, sure.
Only briefly because two men cannot really create one alone, but I do not wish for children.
I’d rather not get into this.
Hmm?
Your points against raising a child. I think it would be astounding.
Yes, obviously you do; I understand that, but I must disagree maturely.
Are you going to go into the key facts?
Not unless you desire for them.
No, no I don’t. Thank you, anyways.
I never believe you would have. When I’m older, though, bee keeping does sound intriguing.
Really?
Why would it not?
I just presumed you to be the type to continue with your work, nevertheless your age, even so it seems like you’re different.
Of course I’m different, John. Haven’t you come to that conclusion yet? Though you must stop assuming things.
You do it all the time!
Assuming and noticing aren’t exactly the same subject.
Git.
Yes, so I’ve heard.
Good- it’s true.
Is not.
I’m done.
No you’re not.
Sherlock!
Hmm?
Pardon?
You all are bewildering. How on earth was it cute? I was wearing his jumper because I ruined my other clothing! It was not cute.
To me it was.
Nothing is cute.
We’ll work on it.
Something can be appealing, charming, and witty if you please but not logically cute.
It’ll take some time.
What?
You seeing it; your cutness.
He sulking now. Thank you, Anonymous.
I'm surprised you didn’t find that cute.
I did, actually- thought I wouldn’t say it, though.
Go do something useful.
Reading the paper for your case opportunities isn’t functional?
Ugh.
John stood in the doorway of Sherlock’s room and watched with soft eyes his flatmate persistently curl up into a ball. “Will you tell me?” he asked quietly.
Sherlock’s body curled tighter together, otherwise doing nothing in response.
We have dinner later, yes?
Correct. He’s at work now and I am experimenting. Quick note, John: I may show up in your clothes; an experiment gone wrong.
What?
A bit small, I’d say, but they’ll do.
I never asked how they were fitting! What happened?
I was testing consistencies and such, chemicals were one my hands as I was finding a new shirt, and I seemed to have burnt holes in many of my clean clothes.
…Fine. 7:30?
Mhmm. Your jumpers are comfy.
Sadly, this hasn’t become so odd anymore, has it?
Only slightly tedious.
But thank you, anyway.
Why are you thanking her?
It’s polite.
Intruding in our lives is polite?
I’m not even going to..
Hmm?
Never mind.
The look on your face says otherwise.
Doesn’t it always?
Not in every circumstance.
Secret experiments?
Possibly.
